In this free online Class you will learn Jewish genealogy for beginners and gain a detailed understanding of how to kickstart your family history research.

This class will explore the basics of Ashkenazi Jewish genealogy, including Jewish genealogy myths, specialized records and general genealogy resources. We'll look at the fundamentals of doing an accurate family history and how to get going.

Debbie Shaw is a past president of the Jewish Genealogy Society of Colorado, and is currently the owner of origin Genealogy.  She has researched eight great-grandparents back to the early 1800’s, and is a specialist in finding/verifying Jewish names and towns of origin.  This summer she will be speaking at the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies in London.
