Sara Dawson is a professional genealogist, historian, researcher, and storyteller who uncovers forgotten narratives that connect people to their past. Her passion for family history began more than thirty years ago, sparked by intriguing similarities on both sides of her family tree. In 2017, she left a career with the federal government to found Descent Detective, LLC, where she helps clients discover their lost history and coaches others to research their own.
